Thanks to all who participated.  Sorry if something you submitted isn't here, there were too many to really post and a lot of them were close to the same. 

How would you like to see the site improve?: Older info. Sometimes I cannot get into the rosters of previous seasons, or read stories from previous season. I know they are there, but for some reason I can't access them. I don't know if this is the same for anyone else.

I'm always trying to add more info!  You will be able to access them as soon as we fix all the links.  Keep trying each day, you might find that something has finally been reconnected.

This year the Hogo turns 40 years old. How should we celebrate here on the site?: We should all donate $20.00 to the Site Administrator's grad school education!! Ready, willing and able! In addition, perhaps have a featured Hogo game of the week and explore the past results between the teams, highlighting a few "barn burner" games, if any exist, especially once district play starts. Still like my first suggestion.

If you mean best all time team for each sport?  I think we could do that at some point.  I will start that up here soon.  Maybe I can work it into a series of polls, good idea.

How would you like to see the site improve?: Maybe more season stats - if they can be made available. Geez, Hogo does so much, don't want to put anything more on him but in-season stats would be great!

First, thanks for the kind words.  It means a lot that some of you appreciate my hard work.  Secondly, I would love to do stats and I think it's a great idea.  It depends on how much cooperation I can get from coaches.  I'm looking for someone that can help me build an online searchable database for it so that it's easier to update.  Hopefully it works, I agree, I think stats would be neat.

How would you like to see the site improve?:  it is already great. how could it be better! i can only think of one thing making tables for the past years of hogo football like you do for the present.

I'm not sure what kind of "tables" you're talking about.  If you're referring to the way the schedules are currently done, that would be hard to do in some ways.  I don't know the past enrollment for any schools beyond 1999.  But maybe this isn't what you mean....

How would you like to see the site improve?: SWVA or Hogo Sports "Score Ticker" for FB, BB and other HS sports Also a "quick link" to "current standing" for sports teams.

I do have a Hogo scoreboard in the top right that I update each night.  As for standings, I don't have a "quick link" to them but they stay fairly updated under the Season Info menu.  I will try to find better ways to present that information in the future if most agree that it is too many clicks away from the main page.

This year the Hogo turns 40 years old. How should we celebrate here on the site?: Maybe with a "Recap" or "Highlights" of the 40 years of the Hogo.

As of today the links to the Greatest Games archive aren't working but they will be up again soon.  Is that sort of the same thing?

How would you like to see the site improve?: Bring back ability to comment on posts/news stories. New scoring system for rivals challenge that takes into account the number of regular season meetings for a sport. As is, a football win isn't as important as a win in many other games, despite a single win being more important to a season. Possibly make regular season football wins worth 2 points and all playoff wins worth 3 points.

As soon as I read this I completely forgot that the Comments module wasn't working.  It is now back on, thanks for the reminder.  I will take into account your rivals challenge suggestions, that is a very rational idea. Good job.

How would you like to see the site improve?: Be more up to date on Girl's Basketball, softball, and Track & Field

I would love nothing more than to be more up to date on these sports.  The sad truth is, the coaches for these sports aren't quite as involved in this site as others are.  I rely on information from coaches heavily.  Holston and Northwood's Girls Basketball and Softball coaches are always giving me information.  The rest usually don't.  PH and Chilhowie's track coaches keep me updated sometimes.  Hopefully these coaches can step it up!

By telling me this you're also saying that you like my usual cover stories.  Hard to believe!  This sounds like a great idea if I only knew who to include on this list!  I'm almost afraid to leave anyone out.  I do think it would be a great idea though, perhaps you guys could help me with it.

How would you like to see the site improve?: I know this depends upon input from us users, but better reporting of scores over all sports. Having said that, I really think it is 1000% better than anything else for Hogo schools. We are in between Roanoke and Bristol, and tend to get overlooked by both cities sports departments, other than the major sports. Also, some coverage of AAU,USSSA, etc sports outside of school activities. These are playing a bigger and bigger role in the developement of our athletes

Thank you for the kind words and you're right, users and coaches are responsible for almost every score.  The rest is all on Tim Hayes, haha.  I have contemplated adding an AAU and Rec League section to the site.  If it sparked more interest in the site, thats great, but if the site was able to help these youth programs, even better.  I would give real estate to these ideas if someone could help keep it updated.  Any takers?

Thank you, I'm glad you've enjoyed all of the historical info that I have.  I wish I had all of the info needed over 40 years for that one epic team.  It does sound like a great idea, though I don't know how feasible it is.  I can try, perhaps it can be a user nominated thing here on the message board.  I also thought about a Hogoheegee hall of fame, I just don't want to leave anyone out.  I thought about starting it with coaches here soon, perhaps you guys can provide me some feedback on that.{jcomments on}
