Garth returns today to discuss Chilhowie's season.  Leave a few comments!

The bossman (HogoOnline Admin) is on me to finish these up quick so that I  can make picks at the end of the week with the rest of the "picking crew".  Who does this Admin guy think he is? Pushing me around like that.  I wear my Garth Vader helmet when I drive in my pickup truck because I deserve respect!

"OOoooOO I run a website for teenager athletes..OOoooOOO I'm good with photoshop..OOoOOooOO I have nifty alumni tournaments".. Give me a break HogoOnline.

Please don't fire me, I was kidding. You do a good job! Honest!

Chilhowie

Some call it "Chi(shy)-town".  Others (my grandpa) say "Chil-Hi".  Once upon a time it was called "Townhouse" which is ironically the name of an overpriced restaurant there now.  I once paid $13 for a balogna sandwich there.

If having the high school located in between a hunting supply store and a taxidermy studio doesn't make you want to sell all your possessions and move to the Valley of Many Deer, I don't know what does!  Speaking of Valley of Many Deer, there can't be many left can there?  I think you guys got'm.  Good job Chilhowie.  You killed all the deer.

Valley of We Have A Few Deer Left, Not Many Though, We Killed Them

Warriors, Version 2010

Regardless of how he got there, Brett Johnson is a Cane turned Warrior and the dude can fly.  Chilhowie didn't really need another guy that could fly, they already had Aaron Conley but now they have both.  All under the price of one $5 ticket.  It's like a buy one, get one free deal on "Dudes who can flat out play some good football."  Warrior fans will be getting a great deal this year.  Not to mention, former head coach Mike Sturgill's kids are starting; years of backyard toss and catch will pay dividends between the brotherly quarterback and receiver relationship.

The Calendar

Looking at Chilhowie's schedule on my calendar (it's a puppy calendar, who doesn't love puppies?), my first thought is 9-1, 8-2.  Lets see...

at Marion - It's Hurricane season!  Chilhowie by 7. But seriously, it is hurricane season.

Grayson County - Haven't been good since 2007 and its still 1995 over there.  Explain that Albert Einstein. Chilhowie by 20

at Twin Springs - This is the last year of the Twin Springs-Chilhowie gridiron rivalry.  Man, they've had some real close slobber knockers over the years!!  This one should be no different!.  Chilhowie by 50

Fort Chiswell - These two teams split two games last year with the Pioneers winning the important one.  Chilhowie probably remembers that... Chilhowie by 28

Northwood - APPLE FESTIVAL OMG OMG!  Chilhowie by 40

at Virginia - A bearcat is an imaginary creature invented by settlers to scare Indians. Virginia High by 10

George Wythe - What will 2001 and 2010 seasons have in common after this game? Nothing.  GW by 2

Patrick Henry - Like a hot knife through butter. Chilhowie by 33

at Holston - Hey! Remember that time Holston beat Chilhowie at Chilhowie? I sort of do but I bet Chilhowie REALLY does. Chilhowie by 28

at Rural Retreat - When I was a kid my parents wouldn't buy me any cowboys to go with my indians.  So i had to make my native americans fight each other... being poor sucked.  Chilhowie by 15

Chilhowie would have to screw up pretty bad to not make it into the playoffs this year.  Radford seems to be the favorite on this half of the state, if the Warriors make it far enough to play Radford, may the force be with you.
